Spectators: 7316 (Terracing: 5488, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 145) Yalova's Ali Çağrı Sidam started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Tarık Ersalmış made a precise shot to the right of Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil. Kurtuluş SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tarık Ersalmış received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 minutes, Tarık Ersalmış made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Kurtuluş SK's Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Sabahattin Otay came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Yalova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabahattin Otay couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, Ali Çağrı Sidam notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Kurtuluş SK's Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil. Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Kurtuluş SK getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Nizam Erdoğdu hit a great ball. Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Çağrı Sidam's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Tarık Ersalmış received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tarık Ersalmış fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil having to interfere. Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Çağrı Sidam, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Ferit Ruşen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hamit Yıldırım tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Yalova were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferit Ruşen made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Kurtuluş SK's goalkeeper Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tarık Ersalmış. Ömür Konguralp kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Özbek Tokuztuğ in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute of the match Mustafa Orcun shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ali Çağrı Sidam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil having to interfere. Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bulut Tuğaltan. Hamit Yıldırım took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferit Ruşen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Yalova's Sabahattin Otay got a free kick in the 71st minute. Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Çağrı Sidam's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tarık Ersalmış in the 75th minute. Tarık Ersalmış's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. With his leg Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Yalova's Tarık Ersalmış fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Çağrı Sidam in the 82nd minute of play. Kurtuluş SK's Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Çağrı Sidam in the 83rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Kurtuluş SK defense, Tarık Ersalmış kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil. The Kurtuluş SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil should have stopped the shot. Tarık Ersalmış recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yalova's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
