Spectators: 7204 (Terracing: 5405, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) Nevruz's Necmi Taycan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ömür Konguralp hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Necmi Taycan in the 7th minute of play forced Kurtuluş SK's goalkeeper Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Necmi Taycan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Necmi Taycan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil, 1-0. If Ferit Ruşen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Özcan Özyuva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sinan Durusan in the 21st minute of the match. Özcan Özyuva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferit Ruşen, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Kurtuluş SK's Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Necmi Taycan in the 24th minute of play. Baturalp Subutay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Kurtuluş SK's zone, Necmi Taycan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil came out of the goal and Necmi Taycan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Necmi Taycan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Baturalp Subutay in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferit Ruşen to strike the kick off in the second half. Kurtuluş SK were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Nevruz's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cuma Bozkurt took the corner. Kurtuluş SK's Cuma Bozkurt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Özcan Özyuva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Nevruz's Baturalp Subutay got a free kick in the 54th minute. Özcan Özyuva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferit Ruşen, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Sinan Durusan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Özcan Özyuva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 74 minutes, Sinan Durusan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kurtuluş SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sinan Durusan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baturalp Subutay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Baturalp Subutay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Necmi Taycan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Halil Utku Erencan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüseyin Rahmi Yazargil having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nevruz had played much better football throughout.
