Abdurrahman Sezal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilmi Buğra in the 21st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Sögütözü's Berker Rıza Erbay ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mithat Yakup. Mithat Yakup yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. The supporters of BEYŞEHİR SK booed when Sögütözü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aytek Baykal didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sögütözü had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
