In the 97th minute of the match, Afşin Beycan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tayfun Tacir was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Naci Azimoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Genclerbirligi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kastamonu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
