Tayfun Tacir didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Battal Gazi Kumanbay went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Iscehisar FK's goalkeeper Saip İrgun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Iscehisar FK's Tayfun Tacir threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Güral Deren, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tayfun Tacir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Güral Deren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Güral Deren was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Battal Gazi Kumanbay in the 52nd minute of play forced Genclerbirligi's goalkeeper Tayfun Tacir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gazanfer Özcan Açıkalın kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Dilmen Tümerdem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saip İrgun having to interfere. Selahaddin Hattat was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the game, one of Iscehisar FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Saip İrgun went to the wrong direction when Gencay Kadir was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Gencay Kadir was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Muhsin Barkan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saip İrgun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the Genclerbirligi defense, Battal Gazi Kumanbay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tayfun Tacir. The Genclerbirligi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tayfun Tacir should have stopped the shot. In the 87th match minute, Genclerbirligi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gazanfer Özcan Açıkalın to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Saltuk Mertel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Genclerbirligi's supporters rose to their feet, but Saltuk Mertel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saip İrgun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th minute, Iscehisar FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Muhsin Barkan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Muhsin Barkan struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Saip İrgun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Genclerbirligi. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Iscehisar FK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Genclerbirligi had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
