The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, DörtyolGençlerBirliĞi's Bahattin Ziverbey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hasan Ali Uygur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Mut's zone, Gürhan Evvah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hasan Ali Uygur came out of the goal and Gürhan Evvah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hasan Ali Uygur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gürhan Evvah in the 13th minute of play. Rahman Altıparmak struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Remzi Ulutekin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mut. Emrullah Pekol's late challenge caught a Mut's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emrullah Pekol helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, DörtyolGençlerBirliĞi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emrullah Pekol to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 18 in the game by Muhittin Yücelay from a close distance when the talented Remzi Ulutekin managed to make a qualified save. DörtyolGençlerBirliĞi's players were relieved. If Muhittin Yücelay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rahman Altıparmak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muhittin Yücelay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Remzi Ulutekin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emrullah Pekol kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. A long shot from Galip Yelesen in the 34th minute of play was well struck, but Remzi Ulutekin made a really good save at the right post. 39 minutes into the match, Mut's goal looked a bit too open when Bahattin Ziverbey came free, but Hasan Ali Uygur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Muhittin Yücelay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rahman Altıparmak in the 46th minute of play forced DörtyolGençlerBirliĞi's goalkeeper Remzi Ulutekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bahattin Ziverbey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half DörtyolGençlerBirliĞi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rahman Altıparmak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Remzi Ulutekin having to make a save. If Muhittin Yücelay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hamdullah Aksun kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Remzi Ulutekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muhittin Yücelay in the 60th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Muhittin Yücelay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remzi Ulutekin was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. 66 minutes into the match, DörtyolGençlerBirliĞi's goal looked a bit too open when Muhittin Yücelay came free, but Remzi Ulutekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 minutes of play DörtyolGençlerBirliĞi's Emrullah Pekol was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, DörtyolGençlerBirliĞi's Emrullah Pekol got a free kick in the 68th minute. Rahman Altıparmak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Remzi Ulutekin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Refik Korcan kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute of the match Galip Yelesen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Remzi Ulutekin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bahattin Ziverbey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Hasan Ali Uygur made a huge save. If Rahman Altıparmak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Muhittin Yücelay came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Mut fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Muhittin Yücelay couldn't finish the play. DörtyolGençlerBirliĞi were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Mut's much stronger midfield.
