Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kosuyolu's Ahmet Haşim İlkcan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Haluk Bayındır sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gölköy SK's Ahmet Efe Durusan got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Habib Soyuer's late challenge caught a Gölköy SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Habib Soyuer helped the player get up and apologised. Habib Soyuer kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Ünal Duyar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haluk Bayındır in the 10th minute of play. Ahmet Efe Durusan might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ünal Duyar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Efe Durusan ran back to his position shaking his head. Ünal Duyar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Haluk Bayındır's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After 16 played minutes Kosuyolu got a freekick which was hit by Altuğ Türkmen. If Ahmet Efe Durusan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute Haluk Bayındır shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ünal Duyar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Kosuyolu booed when Gölköy SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hacı Ali Utman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Gölköy SK's Utkan Evvah got a free kick in the 30th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmet Efe Durusan during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute, Kosuyolu's Ahmet Haşim İlkcan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tahir Türev. Tahir Türev yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Ahmet Efe Durusan came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Gölköy SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Efe Durusan couldn't finish the play. During the 43rd minute of the match Hacı Ali Utman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hacı Ali Utman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Kosuyolu booed when Gölköy SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hacı Ali Utman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Altuğ Türkmen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Efe Durusan to make the kick off. Gölköy SK's Ahmet Efe Durusan got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Kosuyolu's zone, Haluk Bayındır stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ünal Duyar came out of the goal and Haluk Bayındır tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 60 played minutes Gölköy SK got a freekick which was hit by Utkan Evvah. 62 minutes into the match, Gölköy SK's goal looked a bit too open when Altuğ Türkmen came free, but Tahir Türev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Efe Durusan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ünal Duyar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Efe Durusan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ünal Duyar having to interfere. Kosuyolu's Ünal Duyar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Utkan Evvah in the 73rd minute of play. Tahir Türev came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Kosuyolu's Altuğ Türkmen. But to his dismay, Altuğ Türkmen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 80thth minute of the game Ahmet Haşim İlkcan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gölköy SK's Tahir Türev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ahmet Efe Durusan took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ünal Duyar. Ünal Duyar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. A collision led to Gölköy SK getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Haluk Bayındır hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the game, Haluk Bayındır was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gölköy SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kosuyolu the free kick. Ünal Duyar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Efe Durusan in the 92nd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kosuyolu fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gölköy SK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
