Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alpay Afgan kicked off to start the match. Kuluncak's Gökhun Koçarslanoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Kuluncak getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Güneş Mengübay hit a great ball. Necaettin Boysan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Edip Başaran, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. If Raşit Avcıoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute, Köksal Karaoğlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Mirza Yüce sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kuluncak's Necaettin Boysan didn't even have to move. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Mehmet Edip Başaran put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Necaettin Boysan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alpay Afgan in the 30th minute of play forced Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Hakan Hattat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gökhun Koçarslanoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Necaettin Boysan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raşit Avcıoğlu in the 35th minute of play. Raşit Avcıoğlu took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Necaettin Boysan. Necaettin Boysan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raşit Avcıoğlu to make the kick off. When Mirza Yüce fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fenerbahçe's protests and gave Mirza Yüce a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fenerbahçe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! Güven Çubuk placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The crowd rose to their feet as Raşit Avcıoğlu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Necaettin Boysan. That made the score 0-3 in the 74 minute of play. Mehmet Edip Başaran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kuluncak's zone, Mehmet Edip Başaran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Necaettin Boysan came out of the goal and Mehmet Edip Başaran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alpay Afgan in the 94th minute of play forced Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Hakan Hattat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mehmet Edip Başaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fenerbahçe walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
