The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes, Batmanpetrol's Berkan Gence shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oğuzkan Dilşad came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Batmanpetrol reached it. A collision led to Batmanpetrol getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Namık Kemal Uz hit a great ball. Lütfü Hacılar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurtuluş Saraçoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. A hard shot 8 in the game by Erdeniz Önel from a close distance when the talented Lütfü Hacılar managed to make a qualified save. Batmanpetrol's players were relieved. Vehdi Kuray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Lütfü Hacılar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kurtuluş Saraçoğlu in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lütfü Hacılar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the game, Sorgun's Vehdi Kuray nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lütfü Hacılar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Batmanpetrol's goalkeeper Lütfü Hacılar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Oğuzkan Dilşad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakkı Deniz Bera, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hasan Orgunalp during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, Hasan Orgunalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kurtuluş Saraçoğlu struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. The referee ignored Batmanpetrol's protests and gave Mehmet Fatih Alişan a yellow card for diving instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Erdeniz Önel made the kick off in the second half. Erdeniz Önel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alperen Aktürk scored 2-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oğuzkan Dilşad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hasan Orgunalp hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Batmanpetrol's zone, Vehdi Kuray stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lütfü Hacılar came out of the goal and Vehdi Kuray tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Vehdi Kuray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lütfü Hacılar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erdeniz Önel, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Oğuzkan Dilşad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Fatih Alişan in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, Sorgun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Cengiz İstemihan to maneuver through the defense. In the 90thth minute of the game Erdeniz Önel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Batmanpetrol's Lütfü Hacılar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sorgun's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
