Yesilyurt's Nihat Kotuzhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Yesilyurt from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Oguzeli's Cenap Urangu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nihat Kotuzhan. Nihat Kotuzhan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With a little luck, Yesilyurt's Nihat Kotuzhan got control of the ball when Ferman Necat tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Cenap Urangu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ferman Necat scored 3-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nihat Kotuzhan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nihat Kotuzhan was a little too slow when Cenap Urangu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 4-0. Halit Gözlem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Mehmet Halis Coşar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Halit Gözlem to make the kick off.
