Gazi Cangiray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Nihat Kotuzhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ümit Dönmez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A beautiful save bye Yesilyurt's goalie prevented a goal. Gazi Cangiray blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nihat Kotuzhan having to make a save. After 48 minutes of play, Celtik FK's Gazi Cangiray made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nihat Kotuzhan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gazi Cangiray stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vecdet Cevan got free with Nihat Kotuzhan in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Emirhan Hatmi fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yesilyurt's protests and gave Emirhan Hatmi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Yesilyurt's Emirhan Hatmi got a free kick in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Halit Gözlem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yesilyurt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Celtik FK the free kick. Halit Gözlem kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Gazi Cangiray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nihat Kotuzhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Güney Bozbora was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. Celtik FK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 70th minute Güney Bozbora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nihat Kotuzhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nihat Kotuzhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gazi Cangiray's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Gazi Cangiray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87 played minutes Yesilyurt got a freekick which was hit by Ümit Dönmez. Gazi Cangiray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Celtik FK's Güney Bozbora sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nihat Kotuzhan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Celtik FK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
