The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tião Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ender Kamaci in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute, Sefa Soysaldı made a precise shot to the right of Tião Linhares. Manavgat JK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Merinos JK's Nazil Özmen got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Sefa Soysaldı had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tião Linhares. Manavgat JK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sefa Soysaldı was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ender Kamaci scored 0-3 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tião Linhares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hamdi Tanbolat came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Manavgat JK's Demircan Ahid. But to his dismay, Demircan Ahid quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Tião Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Gaffar Vaha in the 29th minute of the match. Tião Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sefa Soysaldı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sefa Soysaldı blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tião Linhares having to make a save. 32 minutes into the match, Manavgat JK's goal looked a bit too open when Sefa Soysaldı came free, but Tião Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Manavgat JK's goal looked a bit too open when Arif Gaffar Vaha came free, but Tião Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Manavgat JK got a freekick which was hit by İlker Şenyurt. In the 38th minute Sefa Soysaldı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tião Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arif Gaffar Vaha in the 45th minute of play forced Manavgat JK's goalkeeper Tião Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Merinos JK were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Demircan Ahid was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Merinos JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arif Gaffar Vaha to maneuver through the defense. Arif Gaffar Vaha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tião Linhares having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Manavgat JK got a freekick which was hit by İlker Şenyurt. 76 minutes into the match, Manavgat JK's goal looked a bit too open when Sefa Soysaldı came free, but Tião Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sefa Soysaldı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Tião Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tião Linhares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nazil Özmen's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Tião Linhares made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Ender Kamaci sent off a good shot on target. Tião Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sefa Soysaldı in the 91st minute of play. When the match was over Merinos JK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Manavgat JK throughout the match.
