After 8 played minutes Beşiktaş JK got a freekick which was hit by Yalçın Sayın. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Eşref Şimşek managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAMSUNSPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Eşref Şimşek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akif Umural breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Eşref Şimşek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, SAMSUNSPOR's Eşref Şimşek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Akif Umural made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 24th minute, Yalçın Sayın got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Eşref Şimşek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Akif Umural was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. If Oktay Ömür had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Beşiktaş JK getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Evren Usta hit a great ball. Ahmet Arif Onay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Şerif Kılıçaslan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Şerif Kılıçaslan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Arif Onay's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Reşit Sayar kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Reşit Sayar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akif Umural having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oktay Ömür got free with Akif Umural in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ahmet Arif Onay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Şerif Kılıçaslan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yalçın Sayın, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Eşref Şimşek struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Akif Umural didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAMSUNSPOR. Akif Umural made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oktay Ömür in the 67th minute of play. After 68 minutes, Oktay Ömür made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Beşiktaş JK's Akif Umural tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Yalçın Sayın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Oktay Ömür had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SAMSUNSPOR's Oktay Ömür got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beşiktaş JK's Akif Umural played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oktay Ömür in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Beşiktaş JK booed when SAMSUNSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gürel Ubeydullah didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SAMSUNSPOR getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Ensar Umurbay hit a great ball. The Beşiktaş JK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SAMSUNSPOR were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
