In the 9th minute, Mithat Tekinel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the game, Abdurrahim Doğanten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Bedri Sorgun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Sivas booed when atomcuk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazhar Pekel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bedri Sorgun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garip Mengücek, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 33rd match minute, atomcuk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mazhar Pekel to maneuver through the defense. If Abdurrahim Doğanten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Eser Akcebe made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Sabri İbiş sent off a good shot on target. Abdurrahim Doğanten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bedri Sorgun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Ahmet Asım Dalan took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Eser Akcebe to make any attempt to save it. Eser Akcebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Asım Dalan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st match minute, atomcuk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mithat Tekinel to maneuver through the defense. Abdurrahim Doğanten took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bedri Sorgun. Bedri Sorgun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. In the 100th minute Abdurrahim Doğanten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bedri Sorgun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
