Serkan Kalhan took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bedri Sorgun. Bedri Sorgun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Asım Dalan in the 32nd minute of play forced İçerenköy's goalkeeper Sermet Kutlay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sivas's Sabri İbiş got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Asım Dalan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sermet Kutlay was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Serkan Kalhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. İçerenköy's supporters rose to their feet, but Serkan Kalhan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bedri Sorgun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute of the match Mustafa Vaha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bedri Sorgun skillfully saved the ball. In the 58th minute, Sabri İbiş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serkan Kalhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Bedri Sorgun made a huge save. After some careless play in the İçerenköy defense, Ahmet Asım Dalan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sermet Kutlay. The İçerenköy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sermet Kutlay should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd minute, Sabri İbiş ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sermet Kutlay was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Sabri İbiş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 78 played minutes İçerenköy got a freekick which was hit by Battal Gazi Kadıoğlu. 79 minutes into the match, İçerenköy's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Asım Dalan came free, but Sermet Kutlay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sermet Kutlay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabri İbiş in the 83rd minute of play. Nazmi Enginsoy hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Ahmet Asım Dalan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sermet Kutlay having to interfere. After 86 minutes, İbrahim Ethem Terzioğlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the İçerenköy and the Sivas players grew even worse after the yellow card. İbrahim Ethem Terzioğlu hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Bedri Sorgun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bahadırhan Kayrahan, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Bedri Sorgun was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bahadırhan Kayrahan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 95 minute of play. The Sivas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching İçerenköy's performance. The match ended with a win for İçerenköy.
