Rüştü Dalga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Güven Açıkgöz in the 5th minute. İskender Yankı could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Rüştü Dalga made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Lara's Şükrü Onurhan got a free kick in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balamir Müjdat in the 13th minute of play forced Ataköy's goalkeeper Engin Hirfet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yetkin Özkul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kamuran Ünlü had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Güven Açıkgöz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Rüştü Dalga made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Güven Açıkgöz got free with Rüştü Dalga in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Ataköy's goal looked a bit too open when Kamuran Ünlü came free, but Engin Hirfet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rüştü Dalga made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when İskender Yankı sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Ataköy's Erdem Sümre slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rüştü Dalga. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. 37 minutes into the match, Lara's goal looked a bit too open when Atahan Zühtü came free, but Rüştü Dalga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Engin Hirfet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kamuran Ünlü, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kamuran Ünlü was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Lara's Kamuran Ünlü nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Engin Hirfet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Kamuran Ünlü was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Yetkin Özkul came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Lara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yetkin Özkul couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute, Güven Açıkgöz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rüştü Dalga was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 67 played minutes Ataköy got a freekick which was hit by Erdem Sümre. The supporters of Ataköy booed when Lara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balamir Müjdat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rüştü Dalga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atahan Zühtü in the 81st minute of play. With a little luck, Ataköy's Engin Hirfet got control of the ball when Yetkin Özkul tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 86 minutes of play Lara's Süruri Acarer was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ataköy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
