Yigilca were furious when Ateş Sazak was red carded, 15 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 15th minute, one of Yigilca:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yigilca. In the 22nd match minute, Yigilca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulaş Sağlamtürk to maneuver through the defense. Ahmet Nasir Vefa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 24th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 26 minutes into the match, Yigilca's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Nasir Vefa came free, but Ertuğrul Yezid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored Kalkan's protests and gave Ahmet Sedat Doğanay a yellow card for diving instead. Ahmet Sedat Doğanay hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Berkan Taygun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Polat Tanyel in the 33rd minute of play. Atacan Uzbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Berkan Taygun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yavuz Selim Kırman kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Yigilca's Mevlüt Torel got a free kick in the 37th minute. Kalkan's Ahmet Nasir Vefa managed to work through Yigilca's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ahmet Nasir Vefa dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After having played for 42 minutes, Tansu Orcun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kalkan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tansu Orcun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Berkan Taygun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Polat Tanyel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Polat Tanyel to make the kick off. Tansu Orcun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ertuğrul Yezid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ahmet Nasir Vefa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yigilca's Ertuğrul Yezid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Nasir Vefa in the 59th minute of play. Berkan Taygun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Polat Tanyel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Polat Tanyel in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Berkan Taygun, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 65 minutes into the game, Mevlüt Torel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yigilca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kalkan the free kick. Mevlüt Torel kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Kalkan's Ahmet Nasir Vefa got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Yigilca's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Nasir Vefa came free, but Ertuğrul Yezid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ahmet Nasir Vefa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Tansu Orcun put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ertuğrul Yezid. Ahmet Nasir Vefa might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ertuğrul Yezid. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Nasir Vefa ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Yigilca defense, Ahmet Nasir Vefa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ertuğrul Yezid. The Yigilca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ertuğrul Yezid should have stopped the shot. Kalkan's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
