If Demiralp Beyzade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes of play, Tavşançalıspor's Demiralp Beyzade made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cuma Demirağ was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Selman Onsoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorgun SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Selman Onsoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferit Akdağ breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Tavşançalıspor getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ardahan Türünk hit a great ball. When Selman Onsoy came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Sorgun SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selman Onsoy couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute of the match Tavşançalıspor got a corner. Sorgun SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ardahan Türünk ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Tavşançalıspor's corner Ardahan Türünk fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cuma Demirağ quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tavşançalıspor's zone, Selman Onsoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferit Akdağ came out of the goal and Selman Onsoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Devlet Taybars had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Göktuğ Rikap in the 43rd minute of play forced Sorgun SK's goalkeeper Cuma Demirağ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmet Göktuğ Rikap stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Haşmet Osman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ferit Akdağ was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 75th match minute, Sorgun SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duran Ulunay to maneuver through the defense. After 76 played minutes Sorgun SK got a freekick which was hit by Akil Uludoğan. Ardahan Türünk, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tavşançalıspor's Ferit Akdağ proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Tavşançalıspor from getting a goal against them.
