Emirdag's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Adanaspor the free kick. İsmet Orhun hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Adanaspor's Avni Kaan got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Devlet Özen in the 23rd minute of play forced Emirdag's goalkeeper Abdulkadir Tümen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Mehmet Bedri Taş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emirdag's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Bedri Taş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mehmet Bedri Taş struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. İdris Hakan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emirdag. Cemalettin Beysun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but İdris Hakan made a huge save. If Cemalettin Beysun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner ended in Hulusi Baykutay almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Adanaspor's İdris Hakan did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Adanaspor's zone, Cemalettin Beysun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İdris Hakan came out of the goal and Cemalettin Beysun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mehmet Bedri Taş was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Devlet Özen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Melih Özerkin fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Emirdag's protests and gave Melih Özerkin a yellow card for diving instead. Melih Özerkin hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Avni Kaan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Devlet Özen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Abdulkadir Tümen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, Cemalettin Beysun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Avni Kaan got free with Abdulkadir Tümen in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mehmet Bedri Taş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İdris Hakan having to interfere. Avni Kaan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Abdulkadir Tümen made a huge save. Devlet Özen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Abdulkadir Tümen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Devlet Özen in the 88th minute of play forced Emirdag's goalkeeper Abdulkadir Tümen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Emirdag getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Olcay Orkun Şengil hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Devlet Özen in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdulkadir Tümen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 93 played minutes Adanaspor got a freekick which was hit by Muharrem Özbas. When Cemalettin Beysun came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Emirdag fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cemalettin Beysun couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
