Rauf Şahiner might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Burç Dilşah. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 37 played minutes Devrek got a freekick which was hit by Rasim Onur. In the 38th minute, Feyyaz Orbay sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Devrek's Devlet Özen didn't even have to move. Burç Dilşah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rauf Şahiner in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cesme's goalkeeper Burç Dilşah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th match minute, Devrek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rasim Sayman to maneuver through the defense. Feyyaz Orbay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Devlet Özen made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Ulaş Yordam's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Burç Dilşah was relentless in the 49th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulaş Yordam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Onur Pamirhan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Devrek's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulaş Yordam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Burç Dilşah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. İrfan Safa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 played minutes Devrek got a freekick which was hit by Ulaş Yordam. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulaş Yordam in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Burç Dilşah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rauf Şahiner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Devlet Özen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İrfan Safa in the 71st minute of play. Onur Pamirhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Devlet Özen having to interfere. Halit Fahri Devlettin kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cesme's zone, Ulaş Yordam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Burç Dilşah came out of the goal and Ulaş Yordam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Cesme's Sertaç Cengel got a free kick in the 80th minute. The Devrek supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Devrek would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
