URZ61's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 5 minutes into the game, URZ61's Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mustafa Haydar Dilsuz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mustafa Haydar Dilsuz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Uğuralp Kökşin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiz Müftüoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Yaşar Orgunalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uğuralp Kökşin made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Hızır Karay sent off a good shot on target. Şenol Savaşer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 played minutes, URZ61's Hazar Hendekli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mustafa Haydar Dilsuz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in URZ61 reached it. When Emrullah Temizcan fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored URZ61's protests and gave Emrullah Temizcan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Battalgazi getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Boğaç Nasr hit a great ball. Mustafa Haydar Dilsuz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şenol Savaşer in the 40th minute of the match. Mustafa Haydar Dilsuz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şenol Savaşer, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After some careless play in the Battalgazi defense, Şenol Savaşer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mustafa Haydar Dilsuz. The Battalgazi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mustafa Haydar Dilsuz should have stopped the shot. After the first half URZ61 were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tan Başhekim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Uğuralp Kökşin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Şenol Savaşer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mustafa Haydar Dilsuz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th minute, URZ61's Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After 68 played minutes Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu rounded Battalgazi's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şenol Savaşer got free with Mustafa Haydar Dilsuz in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, URZ61's Rıfkı Çiftçioğlu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mustafa Haydar Dilsuz. Mustafa Haydar Dilsuz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Hızır Karay took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uğuralp Kökşin. Uğuralp Kökşin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Aytekin Tamkoç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. URZ61's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
