Spectators: 7248 (Terracing: 5437, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Selahaddin Gündüz kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Balat booed when Konyaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Hasan Bender didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Selahaddin Gündüz came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Balat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selahaddin Gündüz couldn't finish the play. Bektaş Veli Zülfü showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mansur Yücesan in the 11th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Turgay Dilsuz got free with Faruk Nafiz Durul in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Namık Alansoy in the 22nd minute of play forced Balat's goalkeeper Bektaş Veli Zülfü to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Turgay Dilsuz put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Faruk Nafiz Durul. 30 minutes into the game, Yavuz Selim Taşcıoğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bektaş Veli Zülfü was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Konyaspor's zone, Selahaddin Gündüz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faruk Nafiz Durul came out of the goal and Selahaddin Gündüz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selahaddin Gündüz in the 38th minute of play forced Konyaspor's goalkeeper Faruk Nafiz Durul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Selahaddin Gündüz struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Faruk Nafiz Durul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balat. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mustafa Namık Alansoy was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes Balat got a freekick which was hit by Andaç Toregün. Turgay Dilsuz scored 2-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Faruk Nafiz Durul, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Balat getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Mirkelam Çakıroğlu hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Turgay Dilsuz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Balat fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. If Turgay Dilsuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fethi Akbora fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Konyaspor's protests and gave Fethi Akbora a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Fethi Akbora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Berke Sayyad sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Konyaspor's Faruk Nafiz Durul didn't even have to move. If Mustafa Namık Alansoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 85 minutes, Turgay Dilsuz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Turgay Dilsuz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Selahaddin Gündüz notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Konyaspor's Faruk Nafiz Durul. Faruk Nafiz Durul was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Selahaddin Gündüz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faruk Nafiz Durul having to interfere.
