Güntekin Özil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Namık Alansoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faruk Nafiz Durul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cuma Adıbelli in the 19th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cebrail Erzan in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faruk Nafiz Durul saved Konyaspor from getting behind. Konyaspor's Faruk Nafiz Durul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cebrail Erzan in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yavuz Selim Taşcıoğlu got free with Güntekin Özil in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mustafa Birol Pekol during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute of the match, Ahmet Hasan Bender sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Güntekin Özil showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cebrail Erzan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mustafa Namık Alansoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güntekin Özil having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Eregli Forum SK's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Namık Alansoy came free, but Güntekin Özil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cuma Adıbelli came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Eregli Forum SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cuma Adıbelli couldn't finish the play. Konyaspor's Faruk Nafiz Durul proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Konyaspor from getting a goal against them. Faruk Nafiz Durul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cuma Adıbelli went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Afşar Sahir fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eregli Forum SK's protests and gave Afşar Sahir a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Eregli Forum SK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Afşar Sahir hit a great ball. Yavuz Selim Taşcıoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 2-1 became the score in the 76th minute when Mustafa Namık Alansoy elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Konyaspor's goalkeeper Faruk Nafiz Durul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cuma Adıbelli. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Konyaspor's goalkeeper Faruk Nafiz Durul, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yavuz Selim Taşcıoğlu might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Güntekin Özil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yavuz Selim Taşcıoğlu ran back to his position shaking his head.
