An unexpectedly hard shot by İskender Tozun in the 5th minute of play forced Tuzlukcu's goalkeeper Tuncay Ozan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Ahmet Harun Nezih left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tuzlukcu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aktuğ Orbay made a kick off. Sivas Yeni Kale Birlik's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Turan Mutluer in the 56th minute. Sivas Yeni Kale Birlik's Aktuğ Orbay was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tuncay Ozan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sivas Yeni Kale Birlik. Tuncay Ozan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İskender Tozun in the 91st minute of play. Tacettin Canbek hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Aktuğ Orbay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Tuzlukcu's goal looked a bit too open when İskender Tozun came free, but Tuncay Ozan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that İskender Tozun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tuncay Ozan was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tuzlukcu had won after a very even match.
