Faruk Nafiz Durul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sancar Necid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Şevket Cenap showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Mustafa Namık Alansoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 25 minutes Sarioglan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ahmet Hasan Bender who took care of the corner kick. If İsmail Hakkı İzzet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faruk Nafiz Durul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İsmail Hakkı İzzet in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Konyaspor's goal looked a bit too open when İsmail Hakkı İzzet came free, but Faruk Nafiz Durul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Sancar Necid had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Faruk Nafiz Durul. Konyaspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sancar Necid was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Sancar Necid struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Faruk Nafiz Durul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarioglan.
