The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Habib Ortan charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Habib Ortan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute, Habib Ortan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saltuk Ceylan in the 5th minute of play forced KOPUZLAR FK's goalkeeper Ahmet Baki Dündar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Feyyaz Uluberk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Çelikan Sadi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hakkı Özyurek. Avcılar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Şeref Hasret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Ahmet Nedim Dokuzoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KOPUZLAR FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ender Ziyaettin during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 played minutes KOPUZLAR FK got a freekick which was hit by Ender Ziyaettin. Şeref Hasret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Baki Dündar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saltuk Ceylan, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 37 played minutes Avcılar got a freekick which was hit by Feyyaz Uluberk. Şeref Hasret blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ahmet Baki Dündar having to make a save. In the 45th minute, Fadıl Babayiğit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the game, Saltuk Ceylan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ahmet Baki Dündar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Saltuk Ceylan made the kick off in the second half. When Feyyaz Uluberk fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avcılar's protests and gave Feyyaz Uluberk a yellow card for diving instead. Feyyaz Uluberk hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After 65 played minutes KOPUZLAR FK got a freekick which was hit by Hayati Tümerkin. In the 68th minute Saltuk Ceylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Baki Dündar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Baki Dündar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saltuk Ceylan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Şeref Hasret received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ahmet Baki Dündar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Baki Dündar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saltuk Ceylan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Baki Dündar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saltuk Ceylan's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Şeref Hasret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Baki Dündar having to interfere. Avcılar's Saltuk Ceylan got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ahmet Baki Dündar acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 98th minute, took the ball on the long shot from İlhan Başbuğ. Avcılar played a much better game than KOPUZLAR FK and deserved their victory. The KOPUZLAR FK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
