After a defensive mix-up in Taksim's zone, Naim Münib stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Necdet Oğuzata came out of the goal and Naim Münib tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baykam Batır charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baykam Batır the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 31 minutes into the game, one of Arguvan FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Taksim a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Balaban Altıncı, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Arguvan FK's Nurtekin Özata. 0-1. Ahmet Necdet Oğuzata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duman Yücesan in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tolga Doğangün in the 47th minute of play forced Arguvan FK's goalkeeper Nurtekin Özata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Taksim were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
