The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yunus Acabey in the 7th minute of play forced Real MArdin's goalkeeper İbrahim Ethem Erben to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. İbrahim Ethem Erben stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yunus Acabey's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. İbrahim Ethem Erben took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yunus Acabey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. İbrahim Ethem Erben made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nusret Taçkın in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Izmit's Yunus Acabey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. İbrahim Ethem Erben made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yunus Acabey in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck İbrahim Ethem Erben prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Nusret Taçkın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Real MArdin's zone, Nusret Taçkın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İbrahim Ethem Erben came out of the goal and Nusret Taçkın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. İbrahim Ethem Erben showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nusret Taçkın in the 36th minute of the match. Real MArdin's İbrahim Ethem Erben played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nusret Taçkın in the 42nd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Seçkin Azer to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Yunus Acabey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Izmit's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yunus Acabey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nusret Taçkın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 minutes, Seçkin Azer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real MArdin and the Izmit players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cemalettin Yaves during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Izmit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cemalettin Yaves to maneuver through the defense. Yunus Acabey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without İbrahim Ethem Erben having to make a save. In the 91stth minute of the game Nusret Taçkın who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real MArdin's İbrahim Ethem Erben was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Nusret Taçkın reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of İbrahim Ethem Erben. The goal made the score 0-5. Izmit played a much better game than Real MArdin and deserved their victory. The Real MArdin players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
