The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ergin Yalçıner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet İlke Türe having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ergin Yalçıner in the 23rd minute of play forced KAS EUPEN's goalkeeper Ahmet İlke Türe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, KAS EUPEN's goal looked a bit too open when Rıfat Erbay came free, but Ahmet İlke Türe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet İlke Türe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sait Reca, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Ferman Mümtaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KAS EUPEN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferman Mümtaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferman Mümtaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Galip Süngü having to interfere. Ahmet Bülent Dilsafa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet İlke Türe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rıfat Erbay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Balamir Sözmen to make the kick off. Ergin Yalçıner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. KAS EUPEN's Ahmet İlke Türe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İskender Tuğcu in the 56th minute of play. If Ferman Mümtaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, İskender Tuğcu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haddini Bilbao FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KAS EUPEN the free kick. A collision led to Haddini Bilbao FK getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. İskender Tuğcu hit a great ball. Galip Süngü made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferman Mümtaz in the 70th minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, KAS EUPEN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferman Mümtaz to maneuver through the defense. KAS EUPEN's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ergin Yalçıner 89 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Haddini Bilbao FK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
