Thanks to some nice moves Okan Necati could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Barışcan Gerdaneri however easily saved by the left post. Rıfkı İltekin kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Tayfun Egelioğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but İsmail Hakkı Reca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Akın Talayman hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor FK's Halit Ziya İmroz got a free kick in the 12th minute. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Galip Başat took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Barışcan Gerdaneri to make any attempt to save it. Trabzonspor FK's Barışcan Gerdaneri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Galip Başat in the 20th minute of play. İsmail Hakkı Reca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tayfun Egelioğlu in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, ULTRAASLAN SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orhan Seyfi Özakıncı to maneuver through the defense. If Okan Necati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barışcan Gerdaneri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Galip Başat showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Trabzonspor FK's zone, Okan Necati stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barışcan Gerdaneri came out of the goal and Okan Necati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Barışcan Gerdaneri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Okan Necati, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Lütfü Usalan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trabzonspor FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Lütfü Usalan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. İsmail Hakkı Reca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trabzonspor FK's Halit Ziya İmroz got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Halit Ziya İmroz off the ground. The supporters of ULTRAASLAN SK booed when Trabzonspor FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 80th minute, Okan Necati left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ULTRAASLAN SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 84th minute, Tayfun Egelioğlu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of İsmail Hakkı Reca, passed just outside the right post. Galip Başat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Barışcan Gerdaneri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trabzonspor FK's goalkeeper Barışcan Gerdaneri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hamdullah Baybora kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
