In the 5th match minute, LaZMaNiA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boğaçhan Cerit to maneuver through the defense. After 5 played minutes, Arhavi's Yaser Niyazi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Orhan Veli Tekinalp came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arhavi reached it. If Vahit Türkşen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th match minute, LaZMaNiA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samim Özkutay to maneuver through the defense. Hakan Uruk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 18 minutes, Hakan Uruk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LaZMaNiA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hakan Uruk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the LaZMaNiA FC defense, Vahit Türkşen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orhan Veli Tekinalp. The LaZMaNiA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orhan Veli Tekinalp should have stopped the shot. Haşim Yıldıray charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haşim Yıldıray the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of LaZMaNiA FC booed when Arhavi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haşim Yıldıray didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Hüsrev Evliya from long distance, 32 minutes into the match, got Ufuk Yadigar's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergen Umurbay in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orhan Veli Tekinalp saved LaZMaNiA FC from getting behind. Sergen Umurbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Orhan Veli Tekinalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergen Umurbay in the 43rd minute of play forced LaZMaNiA FC's goalkeeper Orhan Veli Tekinalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LaZMaNiA FC's Orhan Veli Tekinalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergen Umurbay in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Arhavi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cemalettin Battal to make the kick off. Vahit Türkşen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orhan Veli Tekinalp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergen Umurbay in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Vahit Türkşen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arhavi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of Arhavi booed when LaZMaNiA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cemalettin Battal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orhan Veli Tekinalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergen Umurbay, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. LaZMaNiA FC's Orhan Veli Tekinalp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save LaZMaNiA FC from getting a goal against them. After 82 played minutes LaZMaNiA FC got a freekick which was hit by Samim Özkutay. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergen Umurbay in the 83rd minute of play forced LaZMaNiA FC's goalkeeper Orhan Veli Tekinalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vahit Türkşen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orhan Veli Tekinalp having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Arhavi got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Ceyhan Korur. If Vahit Türkşen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute.
