The referee ignored Korkmaz FC's protests and gave Kuddusî Rafih a yellow card for diving instead. Erdal Acıbadem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Güven Karin in the 9th minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Hüsrev Gemici managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merter's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hüsrev Gemici was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Korkmaz FC's Güven Karin got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Selami Kolçak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüsrev Gemici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Korkmaz FC's Selami Kolçak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Korkmaz FC from getting a goal against them. When İlyas Tolga Canser fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Korkmaz FC's protests and gave İlyas Tolga Canser a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th match minute, Korkmaz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuddusî Rafih to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the match, Merter's goal looked a bit too open when Rıza Çolak came free, but Erdal Acıbadem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hüsrev Gemici spun around in front of the goal 79 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Korkmaz FC's goal. After 84 minutes, Battal Cüneyt Rafet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Korkmaz FC and the Merter players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee blew the final whistle, Korkmaz FC could leave the field as winners, despite Merter having more of the ball for most of the match.
