Battal Bahçeli's late challenge caught a Sarioglan SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Battal Bahçeli helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gürol Batıhan in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck İbrahim Perkel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Battal Gazi İlyas hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Barışcan Alpsoy was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gürol Batıhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İbrahim Perkel having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Songur Akoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarioglan SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Songur Akoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Akören SK's İbrahim Perkel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürol Batıhan in the 25th minute of play. İbrahim Perkel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barış Münir in the 27th minute of play. Gürol Batıhan might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over İbrahim Perkel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gürol Batıhan ran back to his position shaking his head. Akören SK's İbrahim Perkel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Songur Akoğlu in the 33rd minute of play. When Gürol Batıhan came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Sarioglan SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gürol Batıhan couldn't finish the play. İbrahim Perkel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Songur Akoğlu's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Gürol Batıhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İbrahim Perkel having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Gürol Batıhan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. İbrahim Perkel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mehdi Biçim hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Songur Akoğlus short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got İbrahim Perkel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sermet Barbaros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Enginalp Taşcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
