Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) John Smith F.C.'s Cüneyd Tayman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Durmuş Şıran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gencer Numan in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Enes Üstüner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kigi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Durmuş Şıran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Seyrani Avşar's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Kigi's goal looked a bit too open when Seyrani Avşar came free, but Durmuş Şıran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match, Ömer Rıza Sadak got a very nice opportunity to score, but Halil İbrahim Özbilek was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 21 played minutes Kigi got a freekick which was hit by Varol Okdemir. Seyrani Avşar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Seyrani Avşar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durmuş Şıran having to interfere. In the 31st minute Vehdi Uygar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halil İbrahim Özbilek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, John Smith F.C.'s Cüneyd Tayman got a free kick in the 36th minute. A collision led to John Smith F.C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Gencer Numan hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, John Smith F.C.'s goalkeeper Halil İbrahim Özbilek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ömer Rıza Sadak. Durmuş Şıran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seyrani Avşar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Vehdi Uygar made the kick off in the second half. Bedih Erten's late challenge caught a Kigi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bedih Erten helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, İzzettin Tulun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 54 played minutes Kigi got a freekick which was hit by Varol Okdemir. Halil İbrahim Özbilek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vehdi Uygar in the 60th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, John Smith F.C.'s Durmuş Şıran threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cüneyd Tayman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Seyrani Avşar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durmuş Şıran having to interfere. After some careless play in the John Smith F.C. defense, Vehdi Uygar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Halil İbrahim Özbilek. The John Smith F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Halil İbrahim Özbilek should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute Vehdi Uygar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halil İbrahim Özbilek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seyrani Avşar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Seyrani Avşar managed to get in a good position for a shot. John Smith F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Seyrani Avşar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durmuş Şıran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
