With a little luck, GAZİANTEPBB's Eren Baykan got control of the ball when Zekeriya İltekin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eren Baykan was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Zekeriya İltekin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zekeriya İltekin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Zekeriya İltekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GAZİANTEPBB's Gencalp Yavuzcan got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Gencalp Yavuzcan made a precise shot to the right of Lütfi Akartuna. Erdemli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. GAZİANTEPBB's Eren Baykan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ayhan Utku in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Ali Çağrı Hüsrev fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Erdemli's protests and gave Ali Çağrı Hüsrev a yellow card for diving instead. Gencalp Yavuzcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zekeriya İltekin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eren Baykan having to make a save. In the 89th minute, Ayhan Utku hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Karahan Hanefi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in GAZİANTEPBB's zone, Ayhan Utku stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eren Baykan came out of the goal and Ayhan Utku tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. GAZİANTEPBB walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
