After 2 played minutes Tarsus FK got a freekick which was hit by Hakkı Nazır. In the 6th minute, Zekeriya İltekin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mustafa Emrah Özonder was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ayhan Utku fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Emrah Özonder having to interfere. Erdemli's Zekeriya İltekin got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zekeriya İltekin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mustafa Emrah Özonder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Mahmut Masum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lütfi Akartuna having to interfere. Lütfi Akartuna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mahmut Masum's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After 20 played minutes Tarsus FK got a freekick which was hit by Talip Deryace. After a rather tough play, Erdemli's Haydar Şinasi got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Mahmut Masum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kazım Berkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Kazım Berkman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfi Akartuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mustafa Emrah Özonder came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Erdemli's Zekeriya İltekin. But to his dismay, Zekeriya İltekin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Lütfi Akartuna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mahmut Masum's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 40th match minute, Erdemli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Çağrı Hüsrev to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Mahmut Masum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfi Akartuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mahmut Masum was the one to do the kick off. Kazım Berkman struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Lütfi Akartuna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tarsus FK. Zekeriya İltekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kazım Berkman succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 68th playminute. Lütfi Akartuna was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Tarsus FK booed when Erdemli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edip Tüzmen didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Erdemli's Lütfi Akartuna got control of the ball when Kazım Berkman tried to sneak it across the goal line.
