Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Şemsettin Kanver kicked off to start the match. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Aycan Ruhsat got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Aydemir Yasun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baki Sirer having to interfere. Aycan Ruhsat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aycan Ruhsat got free with Cihangir Şimşek in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Grin FC's Ali Galip Baytekin got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Ferid Sendur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Şevket Gürçınar fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grin FC's protests and gave Şevket Gürçınar a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Grin FC's Şevket Gürçınar got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Cihangir Şimşek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şemsettin Kanver, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 40th minute of the match Grin FC got a corner. Balikesir's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kadir Erdurmus ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Kadir Erdurmus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Balikesir's Cihangir Şimşek did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Balikesir's zone, Şemsettin Kanver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cihangir Şimşek came out of the goal and Şemsettin Kanver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cihangir Şimşek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şemsettin Kanver, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. A collision led to Balikesir getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Alican Kutsalmis hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 53 minutes, Şemsettin Kanver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şemsettin Kanver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cihangir Şimşek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aycan Ruhsat in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şemsettin Kanver in the 56th minute of play forced Balikesir's goalkeeper Cihangir Şimşek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Şemsettin Kanver's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cihangir Şimşek was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Balikesir! The referee gave Grin FC a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kadir Erdurmus, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Balikesir's Cihangir Şimşek. 3-0. Güvenç Gökyüzü's late challenge caught a Balikesir's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Güvenç Gökyüzü helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th match minute, Grin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Güvenç Gökyüzü to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Balikesir's goal looked a bit too open when Aycan Ruhsat came free, but Cihangir Şimşek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aycan Ruhsat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the game, Aycan Ruhsat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Cihangir Şimşek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Grin FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 99th minute, when Ferid Sendur scored to the left of an out of position Baki Sirer, making the score, 4-1. Grin FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Balikesir for a fine match.
