Rafet Türkdoğan was slow to take the kick. During this time Yusufeli's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Yusufeli's Ferid Uçuk getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Murathan Şengil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mehmet Bilge Çavas might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kasım Tarkan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mehmet Bilge Çavas ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Yusufeli's İsmail Cem Işın got a free kick in the 44th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehmet Bilge Çavas to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Selim Kerimhan during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kasım Tarkan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Murathan Şengil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Kasım Tarkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yusufeli's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
