The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mehmet Hakkı Sümeroğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Girne FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Namık Resat to maneuver through the defense. After taking down the ball on Bordo-Mavi's corner Uğuralp Balkanlı fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Turgut Nebi quite easily take care of the ball. After 64 minutes of play, Bordo-Mavi's Baycan Özkutlu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Turgut Nebi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Baycan Özkutlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Vefa Şıran's late challenge caught a Bordo-Mavi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vefa Şıran hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bordo-Mavi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Girne FK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
