After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Zülfü İskenderoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oguzlar JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Zülfü İskenderoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Turgut Nebi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Turgut Nebi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zülfü İskenderoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zülfü İskenderoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Oguzlar JK fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Oguzlar JK's Zülfü İskenderoğlu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 20 minutes into the match, Girne FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ertuğrul Şirzat came free, but Turgut Nebi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Girne FK's Turgut Nebi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ertuğrul Şirzat in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Doğa Hicab had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Turgut Nebi. Girne FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doğa Hicab was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The audience was convinced that Ertuğrul Şirzat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Turgut Nebi was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 33rdth minute of the game Zülfü İskenderoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Girne FK's Turgut Nebi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oguzlar JK's Zülfü İskenderoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mehmet Hakkı Sümeroğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Vefa Şıran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oguzlar JK's Mehmet Efe Saru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Oguzlar JK from getting a goal against them. 43 minutes into the match, Girne FK's goal looked a bit too open when Zekai Okay came free, but Turgut Nebi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zülfü İskenderoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Ertuğrul Şirzat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Turgut Nebi made a huge save. After 55 played minutes Girne FK got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Hakkı Sümeroğlu. Ertuğrul Şirzat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Turgut Nebi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Oguzlar JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ertuğrul Şirzat to maneuver through the defense. Ertuğrul Şirzat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Turgut Nebi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Doğa Hicab fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oguzlar JK's protests and gave Doğa Hicab a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute, Doğa Hicab hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mehmet Hakkı Sümeroğlu came free in the 83rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Mehmet Efe Saru, but to the joy of Oguzlar JK's supporters the ball went over. Ertuğrul Şirzat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Turgut Nebi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
