Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yıldırım Saltık in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdurrezzak Tolgan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celtikci's Abdurrezzak Tolgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yıldırım Saltık in the 14th minute of play. Yıldırım Saltık received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Abdurrezzak Tolgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Recep Seçkiner struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Ergin Zeyrek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celtikci. Celtikci's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Erdemli the free kick. After 35 played minutes Celtikci got a freekick which was hit by Burhan Işık. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Aytaç Demirer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celtikci's supporters rose to their feet, but Aytaç Demirer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ergin Zeyrek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute, Hulusi Osman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celtikci's Abdurrezzak Tolgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baran Bilge Birsoy in the 45th minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, Erdemli's Baran Bilge Birsoy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abdurrezzak Tolgan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Cengiz İmamoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
