But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikail Kabil couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Pehlivanköy's zone, Mikail Kabil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Korkut Çelebioğlu came out of the goal and Mikail Kabil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute İslam Karanalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güneş Fırıncı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azmi Sağan's late challenge caught a Pehlivanköy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Azmi Sağan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pehlivanköy's Azmi Sağan got a free kick in the 37th minute. Güneş Fırıncı didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from İslam Karanalp went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The Pehlivanköy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pehlivanköy were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Bilge Sazak made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, Birol Batır was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pehlivanköy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pehlivanköy the free kick. In the 59th minute, the referee gave Pehlivanköy a penalty. Orhan Canpolat looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Güneş Fırıncı. Hazım Safa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Korkut Çelebioğlu. Pehlivanköy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aktaç Taşkın was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 65 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pehlivanköy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Mikail Kabil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bilge Sazak in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Korkut Çelebioğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Azmi Sağan hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Korkut Çelebioğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikail Kabil in the 82nd minute of play. Ergincan Akşit's late challenge caught a Pehlivanköy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ergincan Akşit helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Pehlivanköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ergincan Akşit to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Pehlivanköy's goal looked a bit too open when Bilge Sazak came free, but Korkut Çelebioğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Pehlivanköy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pehlivanköy.
