To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rahim Uygur's late challenge caught a Igdir's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rahim Uygur helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Beşiktaş JK got a freekick which was hit by Rahim Uygur. In the 23rd minute, one of Igdir:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Igdir. In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Beşiktaş JK. Rahim Uygur stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ataol Tunçbay. 1-2. The supporters of Beşiktaş JK booed when Igdir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hulusi Tuğcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igdir's Ataol Tunçbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rahim Uygur in the 32nd minute of play. If Feyyaz Malgır had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ataol Tunçbay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feyyaz Malgır, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ataol Tunçbay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rahim Uygur's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Şimşek Taha made a kick off.
