Gzy FC's Sami Ünaldi managed to work through Güroymak's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Güroymak's supporters rose to their feet, but Volkan Aktan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. İzzet Onursu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. İzzet Onursu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Volkan Aktan's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 22nd match minute, Gzy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hacı Ali Uluğ to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Bektaş Kazan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gzy FC's İzzet Onursu didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Gzy FC's zone, Volkan Aktan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İzzet Onursu came out of the goal and Volkan Aktan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fikret Kırdar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Fikret Kırdar came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Güroymak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fikret Kırdar couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Gzy FC's zone, Volkan Aktan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İzzet Onursu came out of the goal and Volkan Aktan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Volkan Aktan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but İzzet Onursu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Volkan Aktan notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Gzy FC's İzzet Onursu. İzzet Onursu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Müslüm Türkol made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ali Çağrı Özender sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Güroymak were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Without hesitation aimed to the right of İzzet Onursu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fikret Kırdar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İzzet Onursu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gzy FC's Suavi Yesari got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Fikret Kırdar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Güroymak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fikret Kırdar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. İzzet Onursu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Volkan Aktan in the 81st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Volkan Aktan in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg İzzet Onursu saved Gzy FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Volkan Aktan managed to get in a good position for a shot.
