After having played for 13 minutes, Baybars Temizkanoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tokat SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baybars Temizkanoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Songurhan Elmacı charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Songurhan Elmacı the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Songurhan Elmacı kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Battal Cüneyt Perk fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tokat SK's protests and gave Battal Cüneyt Perk a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tokat SK getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Battal Cüneyt Perk hit a great ball. Halit Karasu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Tarkan Yalçın in the 21st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Soner Gaza during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ata Vuralhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baybars Temizkanoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baybars Temizkanoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ata Vuralhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ata Vuralhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Göktuğ Tayfun's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 38th match minute, Tokat SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Numan Sağlamtürk to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Tokat SK's goalkeeper Gökay Başdoğan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Halit Karasu. After a defensive mix-up in Tokat SK's zone, Halit Karasu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gökay Başdoğan came out of the goal and Halit Karasu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tarkan Yalçın to make the kick off. Göktuğ Tayfun might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ata Vuralhan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Göktuğ Tayfun ran back to his position shaking his head. Halit Karasu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gökay Başdoğan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Halit Karasu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökay Başdoğan having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Tarkan Yalçın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökay Başdoğan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tarkan Yalçın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göktuğ Tayfun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gökay Başdoğan came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Aranan Adam's Halit Karasu. But to his dismay, Halit Karasu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Baybars Temizkanoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ata Vuralhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Aranan Adam's goal looked a bit too open when Baybars Temizkanoğlu came free, but Ata Vuralhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Tarkan Yalçın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökay Başdoğan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baybars Temizkanoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ata Vuralhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
