With a little luck, GALATASARAY's Aykan Gazel got control of the ball when Samet Kuthan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aykan Gazel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aytuğ Pektürk in the 7th minute of play. Samet Kuthans short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Aykan Gazel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Vehdi Üngörmüş sped through GALATASARAY's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aykan Gazel. Aykan Gazel made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Samet Kuthan sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute, Derman Energin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferhat Özbekkan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 29th minute, Aytuğ Pektürk fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Aykan Gazel stood somewhat misplaced when Aytuğ Pektürk came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 31 minute. The audience was convinced that Aytuğ Pektürk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aykan Gazel was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Aykan Gazel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aytuğ Pektürk's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. When Samet Kuthan came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Güroymak FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samet Kuthan couldn't finish the play. In the 45th match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ecevit Erdemalp to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Güroymak FK's Baykam Korhan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Aytuğ Pektürk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Derman Energin made the kick off in the second half. If Derman Energin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samet Kuthan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Aytuğ Pektürk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Güroymak FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Aytuğ Pektürk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aykan Gazel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Aytuğ Pektürk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Güroymak FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Aytuğ Pektürk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A very good chance. Bozkurt Bayramoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Baykam Korhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aykan Gazel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aykan Gazel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aytuğ Pektürk, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Ferhat Özbekkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derman Energin in the 75th minute of play. Aytuğ Pektürk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Aykan Gazel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Samet Kuthan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GALATASARAY's Aykan Gazel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aytuğ Pektürk in the 94th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Güroymak FK fully deserved thier win.
