After 2 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Fikret Demiroğlu. When Ahmet Fikret Demiroğlu fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALATASARAY's protests and gave Ahmet Fikret Demiroğlu a yellow card for diving instead. 3 minutes into the game, one of GALATASARAY:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 10th minute of the match Rıza Korur shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aykan Gazel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Hamit Çubukcu got a free kick in the 11th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Yusuf Dürüst cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Aykan Gazel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aykan Gazel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yusuf Dürüst in the 22nd minute of play. Kurtuluş İmren charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kurtuluş İmren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kurtuluş İmren kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Mustafa Numan Koçak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Halis Kabil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ercüment İncesu came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Torbali fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ercüment İncesu couldn't finish the play. Ercüment İncesu took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aykan Gazel. Aykan Gazel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 42nd minute, İskender Baki Birsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yusuf Dürüst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. İskender Baki Birsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. The wind increased when Ercüment İncesu made the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes Torbali got a freekick which was hit by Abdulaziz Karasu. After 60 played minutes, GALATASARAY's Meriç Tuner shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Halis Kabil came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GALATASARAY reached it. In the 61st minute, Torbali's Yusuf Dürüst ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aykan Gazel. Aykan Gazel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Aykan Gazel made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when İskender Baki Birsen sent off a good shot on target. GALATASARAY's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ercüment İncesu 69 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-7. Aykan Gazel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 72nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kurtuluş İmren. Aykan Gazel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cenap Şenyaşar in the 73rd minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Ercüment İncesu came free, but Aykan Gazel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercüment İncesu in the 78th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Aykan Gazel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ercüment İncesu got in the 84th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Aykan Gazel handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Aykan Gazel made an important save on a dangerous shot by İskender Baki Birsen in the 85th minute. Sadri Gümüş kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. GALATASARAY's Aykan Gazel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cenap Şenyaşar in the 94th minute of play.
