In the 5th minute, Ferhat Belge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dumlupinar SK's Özkan Şerif couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sakarya FC. In the 9th minute, Tevfik Boysel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gencal Şimşek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Sakarya FC's Şükrü Bakırcıoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Dinçer Cihangir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tevfik Boysel in the 14th minute of play forced Dumlupinar SK's goalkeeper Gencal Şimşek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Şükrü Bakırcıoğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gencal Şimşek was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 23rd minute Tevfik Boysel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gencal Şimşek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dumlupinar SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alperen Sabeddin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sakarya FC's Alperen Sabeddin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gencal Şimşek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Behram Şikel came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Dumlupinar SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Behram Şikel couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tevfik Boysel in the 36th minute of play forced Dumlupinar SK's goalkeeper Gencal Şimşek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 minutes, Alim Dersu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sakarya FC and the Dumlupinar SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alim Dersu hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Çakır Özok sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sakarya FC's goalkeeper Çakabey Özçin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ersan Ulukut kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sakarya FC's zone, Behram Şikel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Çakabey Özçin came out of the goal and Behram Şikel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Behram Şikel to strike the kick off in the second half. Gencal Şimşek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tevfik Boysel in the 56th minute of the match. Şükrü Bakırcıoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dumlupinar SK's Gencal Şimşek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Dumlupinar SK from getting a goal against them. Gencal Şimşek was a little too slow when Tevfik Boysel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 0-2. When Rahman Ergenç fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sakarya FC's protests and gave Rahman Ergenç a yellow card for diving instead. Rahman Ergenç hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Çakır Özok fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çakabey Özçin having to interfere. When Behram Şikel came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Dumlupinar SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Behram Şikel couldn't finish the play. Tevfik Boysel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 98 minutes, Çakır Özok managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dumlupinar SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Çakır Özok was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Sakarya FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
