Ulaş Özdemir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kutay Tanbey in the 5th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Gazanfer Hürsel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mersin's Ulaş Özdemir. Ulaş Özdemir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hüseyin Can Neşat got free with Korkut Tekinel in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Yahyali getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Gazanfer Hürsel hit a great ball. Hüseyin Can Neşat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Korkut Tekinel having to interfere. If Gazanfer Hürsel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gazanfer Hürsel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ulaş Özdemir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Yahyali's Korkut Tekinel got control of the ball when Hüseyin Can Neşat tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kutay Tanbey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Mersin getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Mustafa Hakan Erginalp hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gazanfer Hürsel in the 35th minute of play forced Mersin's goalkeeper Ulaş Özdemir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hüseyin Can Neşat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Yahyali's Uğurcan Kayacan got a free kick in the 41st minute. Korkut Tekinel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celalettin Günsel's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Ulaş Özdemir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kutay Tanbey in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Gazanfer Hürsel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulaş Özdemir was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Mersin's Hüseyin Can Neşat in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yahyali's goalie prevented a goal. When Kutay Tanbey came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Yahyali fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kutay Tanbey couldn't finish the play. 85 minutes in the game, Kutay Tanbey fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ulaş Özdemir having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Şevket Bedi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulaş Özdemir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gazanfer Hürsel in the 91st minute of play. Ulaş Özdemir didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kutay Tanbey went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 99th minute, Kutay Tanbey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Yahyali could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mersin throughout the match.
