The referee ignored Fenerbahçe's protests and gave Caner İldeniz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Fenerbahçe getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caner İldeniz to strike the kick off in the second half. Caner İldeniz struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Kaan Kalender didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbahçe. The audience was convinced that Fazıl Hüsnü Uslu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kaan Kalender was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fenerbahçe fully deserved thier win.
